Bank Statement Reconciliation: Match Payments to Pledges
It's Tuesday evening. You download your bank statement. There are 47 incoming transfers. Some have the right reference. Some say "DONATION." Some say nothing at all.
Matching these to your 160 pledges used to take hours. Now it takes seconds.
Go to Money
Open the Money tab. At the top you'll see your collection summary. Below it: Match bank payments.

"Upload your bank statement CSV — we auto-match payments to pledges." Drop your file. PledgeNow recognises statements from Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds, NatWest, Monzo, Starling, and more.
Auto-matching
Every pledge in PledgeNow has a unique reference — like PNPL-A2F4-50. When a donor includes this in their bank transfer, the system matches it automatically.
But what about donors who don't use the reference? PledgeNow also matches by amount, date, and donor name. If £50 arrived on Tuesday and Ahmed pledged £50 on Monday, the system suggests the match.
Confirm or dismiss
Below the upload area, you'll see donors who say they've paid. Each one has a green Confirm button.
Tariq Mirza, £20.00, reference SMTF-9EN5-20. Hashim Zahoor, £15.00. Taha Gondal, £75.00. One tap to confirm each payment.
For payments the system matched automatically, you'll see them pre-confirmed. For ambiguous matches, you decide.
The result
Your progress bar updates in real time. 49% collected → 55% → 62%. Every confirmed payment moves the needle.

The treasurer who used to spend every Tuesday night cross-referencing bank statements with pledge spreadsheets? They upload one CSV and they're done.
No more 2am reconciliation sessions. Upload. Match. Confirm. Go home.
Stop losing pledges. Start tonight.
